Senior Finance Manager - £circa £50k -Reading- Berkshire

This is an outstanding role for an experienced accountant seeking a new challenge; the role is a senior finance and commercial manager, salary circa £50k. Based on the outskirts of Reading, the company a small niche market business

The key objective of the Senior Finance and Commercial Manager will be to oversee and manage all commercial and financial aspects of the Group. Ensuring the profitability of the Group is protected and managed effectively, you will drive the ongoing development of commercial and financial processes, workflows and systems to ensure efficient and effective control of all financial aspects.

Financial Management

 Review and develop financial processes throughout the business including the current finance team structure, resource and workflows

 Produce, manage and communicate monthly management information to the SMT, analysing the data to make recommendations that drive profitability and sustainability

 Understand internal and external financial requirements and build a framework to support these requirements

 Drive strategic growth within the Group

 Drive financial education within the group

 Control and accuracy of client billing

 Complete ad hoc projects as required, managing the workload within the department

 Influence positive change and drive improvement within the Finance department

Commercial and Procurement

 Selection, renewal and management of supplier contracts, including the review of current suppliers to drive commercial efficiencies for the group and its client base

 Negotiation with suppliers ensuring best prices and SLA’s are in place

 Developing and implementing systems and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy within the business, specifically control of spend

 Managing and reviewing internal budgets to ensure expenditure is monitored and controlled and that value for money is obtained, and clients are charged for services provided

 Reviewing and interpreting client contracts, ensuring final agreements fall in line with the group strategy

 Establishing and ongoing review of pricing models for our core services

 Understanding competitor strategies to help the business drive a competitive advantage

 Responsible for all insurances required by the Group

Finance Systems

 Continuous review and innovation within the systems utilised to drive financial control and commercial efficiencies.
