Our client designs and manufactures industrial measurement instrumentation serving customers across the globe. The Senior Electronics Design Engineer reports directly to the Lead Engineer responsible for their Product group.
Electronic and electro-mechanical product design - Tightly integrating with the product design team to create concepts, design specifications, prototypes and production-ready designs with minimal direct supervision.
Hardware/Software design - real-time system level design using 8/16 bit micro controllers with proven analogue and digital design capabilities. Embedded C / C++ and Visual Basic with a knowledge of formal software design and communications protocols. PCB Layout, design for EMC and graphics displays.
Project orientated working - engage with and progressively work through, in detail, the entire process of new product development, including production engineering and actively supporting the product introduction into manufacture.
Experience Required:
Ideally good degree (1st or 2.1) in electronic or software engineering obtained from a leading University with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification full development lifecycle experience preferably from an instrumentation design environment.
