We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Ecologist specialising in ornithology to join a UK leading renewable energy and sustainable development consultancy. The company is home to a growing ecology department, composed of experienced consultants that readily undertake a wide variety of ecological services across the North of England and Scotland.
Office location - Inverness.
Candidates will ideally hold the following qualifications:
*BSc / MSc in Ecology, Zoology, Biology, Geography or similar
*Possess a full CIEEM membership
*At least one protected species license
*Full clean UK driving license
Applicants must have previous ecology consultancy experience including report writing, field surveying and EPS application. The client will favour a particular skill set in ornithology, with strong aural and visual upland bird identification skills. Previous onshore wind farm project experience will be desired.
Tasks expected to be completed include the planning and undertaking of field surveys, the development of portfolios and projects, the management of a group of skilled ecologists, and the design and presentation of ecological mitigation schemes.
