Our client is a leading FMCG company, which manufactures, markets and sells a comprehensive range of lifestyle products. They are currently seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to join their team based in Bristol.
The successful candidate will lead development of digital media and modern collaboration strategies and solutions for consumer engagement across countries, functions and platforms. He/she will also implement the modern collaboration solutions into the business activities, develop and drive social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the company to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant collaboration techniques into the corporate culture.
This is a new role so you will be responsible for the recruitment and management of your own team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of strategy, governance, best practices, tools, vendor relations, and the assessment of opportunities for consumer engagement in digital media.
- Develop and deliver a digital communications strategy to effectively communicate to our consumers. Ensure integration of social media activity into marketing activities; lead strategy development and social media inclusion.
- Establish governance, standards, processes and training for social media engagement. Lead employee activation including training development and rollout, development of best practice toolbox and communication of the new approaches to the organisation.
- Oversee the regular social media monitoring and reporting activities and ensure the strategic application of the recommendations into the company activities. Analyse and report on main trends in digital media environment to the key stakeholders in the organisation.
- Market and present web/digital strategies to diverse audiences, manage multiple projects and maintain schedules and budgets.
- Work with marketing teams to define appropriate consumer engagement platforms and requirements for social media activities.
- Roll out internal business networking platforms, manage implementation of modern collaboration solutions in the company (including SharePoint platforms).
- Promote new ways of collaboration and integrate modern collaboration solutions into business operations such as: Group Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Manufacturing and Corporate Affairs and business partner relations.
- Become an essential strategic partner to the organisation by advising on the most advanced innovative internet marketing services and become the owner of modern collaboration approaches.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Professional marketing or web-based qualification is required (Bachelors or equivalent).
- Substantial experience gained in a similar role working with digital media, internet marketing, social media in a leading FMCG, agency or technology company.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and emerging digital trends and opportunities and how they can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Team player possessing personal responsibility, initiative and mutual respect are key.
- Line management experience gained in a previous role.
- Successful project management skills outlined displayed in a previous role.
- Excellent presentation skills including advanced application of the entire Microsoft suite (including PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to communicate easily across cultures and organisational levels.
- Self starter, with a conviction to deliver against tight timescales, overcoming setbacks and obstacles using a positive and pragmatic attitude to business and work.
- Demonstrate a clear strength in planning and organising to effectively manage various projects concurrently.
Salary: up to £70,000 (client may pay more for the right candidate) plus
