Job Description
Our client, a well established organisation in Northumberland, are looking for an experienced Credit Controller on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months.
Reporting to the Credit Manager, your main duties will include:
- Production of month end reports on cash forecasting
- Support credit control manager on credit insurance queries as required.
- Maintain an accurate aged debt using the accounting system.
- Chasing of customers for payments by telephone, letter, email or other means.
- Liaising with sales representatives with regard to providing accurate information relating to debts outstanding by providing end of week reports.
- Providing statements of debts outstanding on a monthly basis.
- Processing payments to the accounting system and managing sales ledger accounts.
- Allocating payments to invoices where appropriate.
- Responsibility for cash handling, credit/debit card payments and undertaking the daily bank run.
- Monitoring existing accounts to determine whether credit limits need to be reviewed or accounts be placed on stop etc.
- Liaising with the Sales Admin Team with regard to orders that are on hold, new accounts and pro-forma payments.
- Creating reports detailing existing ledger, cash forecasts and actual collections compiled on a regular month end basis.
Candidates must have a strong Credit Control background, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity.
