The deVere Group, an independent financial consultancy group, is currently looking for a Senior
Compliance Officer.

As a Senior Compliance Officer you will oversee the development and implementation of a complete compliance strategy, and will have the responsibility of ensuring that the company follows the legal and regulatory requirements which pertain to our industry. The position ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies.

Job Responsibilities:

Developing, maintaining and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of
the company’s activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manages day-to-day operation.

Ensuring business activities are conducted in conformity with applicable AML laws,
regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Serving as liaison for regulators, legal bodies and local Compliance Officers as well
as maintaining relationships with relevant legal bodies

Ensuring regulatory permissions remain current and appropriate for business needs

Performing risk assessment of company practices

Supervision of complaints handling process’s in line with regulatory complaint handling
procedures worldwide

Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and industry initiatives and advice business
accordingly

Liaising with third parties together with management team that wish to understand
control environment, compliance policies and procedures

Liaising with members of legal and compliance function

Providing reporting in regard to regulatory requirements and developments to Senior
Management

Coaching, evaluating performance, training, motivating and directing the compliance team

Candidate Skills:


Minimum 2 years compliance experience within Financial Services environment

Professional Qualification in relevant area

Experienced in developing and managing Compliance Monitoring Programmes

Effective communicator

Proven people management, reporting and organisational skills

Ability to equilibrate priorities and organise work effectively to meet deadlines

Availability to travel when required
