Senior Commissioner

Responsible to (designation): Head of Complex CommissioningComplete Description:

· To take lead responsibility for all aspects of housing related support services that have been transferred to the Tri-borough Social Care Commissioning team (H&F - all, K&C - some community care, Westminster - none?)

· To lead of the delivery of efficiencies programmes to achieve savings targets for housing related support services

· To oversee, working with commissioners, the development of commissioning strategies for housing related support services for identified social care client groups. To manage and support the delivery of these strategies using the commissioning cycle

· To be an active part of the project team developing the West London framework agreement for housing related support services. To oversee the commissioning of services from this framework for the care/client groups for the Tri-borough

· To manage the budgets assigned to the Tri-borough commissioning team for housing related support services

· To manage the relationship with internal and external providers and the participation of service users in the planning and delivery of commissioning strategies

Influencing overall budget allocation in order to translate legislative

Identify where more or different services are needed

To achieve an appropriate balance between preventative and statutory

To develop community based services.

Working with internal / external providers when new service developments

Managing pooled and / or other budgets where relevant
