Senior Civil Power Engineer

SENIOR SITE CIVIL ENGINEER - RABIGH POWER PROJECT, KSA

The candidate will hold a civil engineering degree with proven experience and a background in civil design/construction related to Power Plant Projects. Experience in a contracting organisation or within a consultancy is equally desirable.

Duties will include working closely with a small team of senior civil engineers under the direction of a lead civil engineer to ensure supervision and monitoring of all site civil construction works for a large thermal power plant.  A team of field engineer’s and inspectors will be assigned to work under the senior civil engineers and their duties shall be assigned to them on a daily basis.  The main EPC Contractor will be responsible for undertaking the work however the candidate shall be expected to ensure the work is carried out in line with the technical requirements and that good records are kept to demonstrate the same.

You will be expected to keep abreast of current developments in your field and contribute to the body of knowledge. You should be comfortable representing the company in the field of civil engineering.

The successful candidate must be articulate, with good report writing skills and able to work under their own initiative.

Experience in most of the following fields would be expected: -

• International design codes and standards.
• Supervision of engineers/technicians.
