THE OPPORTUNITY:
Macildowie have an immediate need to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join a hugely successful Pharmaceutical firm based in Northampton. Initially the role will be for a period of up to six months, and for the right candidate, the opportunity may lead to a permanent role.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role of Purchasing Manager in the business will be a challenge. The business has experienced fast growth and needs processes and systems to mirror this. Key responsibilities will include the following:
*Responsibility for purchasing within the organisation - you will be sourcing products for established suppliers but you will also work to source new suppliers
*Supplier rationalisation
*Demand Planning and forecasting
*Working cross functionally across the business
*Working with the sales team formulating pricing strategies
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
*Candidates need to have a proven track record working within purchasing in a fast paced environment
*Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
*Must be an advanced Excel user
*Driven, ability to drive through changes where required
*Enthusiastic
*Confident with excellent communication skills
