An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the area's leading companies. This is an exciting, fast paced buying opportunity reporting to company director level.
The successful candidate will be tasked with the strategic leading of the company's buying department and long-term offers the development to senior management.
Job Description
Heading up a small team of buyers, this role will incorporate the following key areas:
Developing the companies buying strategies
Manage and develop the existing team of buyers.
Ensure the buying department work effectively with other departments within the business.
Develop existing department procedures in-line with company goals.
Supplier Management including identifying strategic partnership opportunities.
Person Specification
Candidates will ideally have experience as a senior buyer working within a large wholesale/FMCG environment, ideally with experience in food and non-food.
Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate knowledge of purchasing across a number of markets (EU and Non-EU)
