My client is an industry leading brand. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer - IT.

Assist the Category Manager IS & IT services (and other members of the team as may berequired) to develop and drive best practice procurement for IS and the wider group.

Responsibility:

  • Identify new opportunities for cost reduction and savings principally within IS but also in the wider environment
  • Support and assist the Category Manager IS & IT and IS team to deliver the IS strategy
  • Support and assist the Procurement Team as may be required
  • Follow up and drive the IS "Supplier Management Plan" working with the Contracts Manager and IS Stakeholders as required
  • Manage the competitive bidding process including the drafting and preparation of RFX documentation
  • Support Category Manager IS & IT in commercial negotiations; lead commercial negotiations

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable procurement expertise 2-3 years
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify and manage own workload without close supervision
  • Graduate
