A Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Cheshire is recruiting for an English Teacher to cover a Maternity leave.
Students within the school have Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD); however some students attend this establishment due to medical issues, which prevent them from attending mainstream school.
As well as offering Education services the school also works with mainstream schools in the borough to support remaining in schools and tuition services. The children are mainly KS 3 and 4 but occasionally there are short stay pupils who are KS2.
The role will require an experienced English teacher who is confident to teach Key Stage2,3 and 4. As well as promoting learning the English department gives students the tools through language to be able to express themselves.
You must be able to plan and deliver varied and differentiated levels of work. Strong behaviour management is a must, previous experience within a PRU being an advantage but not a necessity.
