This is a independent firm of accountants who offer a range of services to their clients, who include sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies typically under £500k turnover.
This is a varied role within a very stable business that has bucked the economic trend in recent years and offers a relaxed and friendly working environment.
Working as part of a small and friendly team, key duties will likely include:
* Preparing Accounts using Excel spreadsheets
* Monthly bookkeeping
* Preparing VAT returns
* Tax computations
* Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
* Assisting with preparation of weekly and monthly payroll
To be considered, you should be a team player, capable of managing your own workload but also happy to help out other staff as necessary. Applicants must be able to prepare final / annual Limited company accounts and complete related tax computations with minimal supervision.
An accountant with around 5 years experience of working in an accountancy practice and an AAT qualification would be ideal.
