SAP Business Process Specialist - SD/Pricing

Organisation Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SD/Pricing SAP Business Process Specialist within one of my key clients, an established and profitable engineering company.  
This will be working within their Business Services team based in Worsley.

Job Description

The purpose & principle responsibilities of the position: 

* Gather information from both applications/systems in order to create functional specifications for future enhancements.
* Provision of consulting and problem solving to continuously improve business processes.
* Test new interfaces once the programming has been completed.
* Regression test full end-to-end processes as part of the periodic transport release cycle and major enhancements / projects.
* Responsible for Trouble Ticket resolution for application-related functional issues
* Primary contact for all application Interface questions, issues, and errors.
* Ensure all enhancements and changes follow agreed enterprise application template processes/requirements where applicable
* Business process modelling and design; ownership of business process models.
* Identification and delivery of exploitation opportunities out of existing investments.
* Providing expert technical and application advice.
* Understands the impact of past initiatives and accurately predicts the performance of future strategies.

Person Specification

Required qualifications/skills/experience: 

* Degree or appropriate work experience/technical training.
* Good technical knowledge of SAP R/3 or ECC6.0 and in particular SAP SD and pricing configuration
* Problem solving and analytical thinking
* Experience writing functional and technical specifications
* Influencing skills
* Ability to prioritize, resolve and deliver solutions on a timely and responsive manner is critical.
* Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills are required to communicate and work with all levels of employees both locally and globally 
* Experience of configuration of applications for defined services
* Must be a quick learner in using in using new solution capabilities and processes
* Extensive knowledge of business processes and application functionality to enable the resolution of complex problems 

Please note, this is an internal support role so would suit candidates that have a similar commercial background.  This role is not providing consultancy or project oriented services to external clients.

Willingness to travel a requirement of the role, both within the UK and potentially to Munich – amount of travel will vary based on project involvement.
