The Role - Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Your primary responsibility is approaching customers as they enter the store, inquiring about the type of furniture they want, making suggestions as they show customers around and closing the sale.
• Represent the store in a positive manner.
• Must be knowledgeable about the product line and have the ability to make suggestions, show customers around the displays and help them make the best decision in selecting their furniture.
• Answer any questions the customer asks, conduct suggestive selling so as to move multiple products, process the paperwork and arrange financing when needed.
• Maintain records of customers who do not make a purchase and follow up as needed.
• Responsible for arranging displays, putting up any point-of-sale information, doing physical inventory counts and assisting the store manager with orders.
• Constantly learn about new products and be able to explain specific features of various products to the customers.
The Person - Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience in a proactive sales environment
• Must have a solid work history i.e. 3/4 jobs in 10 years
• Be extremely hungry and competitive and target driven
• Have the ability to build rapport with customers
• Be happy to work weekends (compensatory days off in the week)
• Work well under pressure
The Package : What You Could Earn:
• Basic salary of £15,000
• Uncapped commission structure (OTE £28-35k)
