Job Description

To oversee the growth and development of the department and ensure it delivers its agreed financial targets.
To ensure the smooth running of the department and manage the complete end to end operation.
To maximise revenue generation and opportunities for expansion as well as identifying and introducing cost efficiencies.
To foresee and minimise internal and external risks as far as practicable.
Manage a large and expanding department, and forecast staff requirements and ensure they are met to support departments needs.
To be responsible for the operation of an efficient department in order to contribute effectively to the businesses financial targets.
To identify and effect system alterations as required to ensure a streamlined product delivery and an efficient process.
Ensuring that a large team is kept productive and on task through effective people management.
To take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of staff management (including recruitment, training, monthly 1-2-1s and performance management).
To provide accurate statistical analysis at regular intervals and as required.
Liaise with Agents and Introducers to develop and maintain excellent communications across all parts of the business.
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant external parties and to ensure the business is kept abreast of all relevant actual and planned legislative and regulatory developments.
To make final decisions regarding problematic / complex case work.
A good understanding of the products which the department handles.
You must have experience in the following area:
Experienced people manager used to handling large teams within a fast paced office environment.
Able to deal effectively and appropriately at a variety of levels.
Excellent written communication skills as well as the ability to confidently produce and analyse statistical and financial reports.
Use of Microsoft Office applications in particular Word, Excel and Outlook and IT applications.
Ability to prioritise departmental workload, track departmental trends and work volume. Undertake a diverse range of tasks as required.
