Sales & Procurement Administrator

My client who is based close to Gravesend are looking for an experienecd Sales & Procurement administrator to join them on a permanent basis.

To support the effective and efficient running of the department through the completion of a range of activities and duties. To manage a variety of internal and external data. In addition, analysis and exchange relavant information to support and maintain an effective and efficient supply chain process.

Procurement Administration/Sales

Receive and review orders and communicate order requirements to relevant parties:

  • Review received orders and source fruit to fulfil orders.
  • Confirm stock despatch requirements with pack house; allocate the order on the Navision system and release the order to the pack house. Reconcile stock with packhouse and generate report analysis as necessary.

Stock Management

Monitor and compare stock levels with programmed sales and communicate required adjustments. This may include:

  • Review daily stock levels.
  • Adjust pack house programmed sales figures according to onsite stock levels.
  • Track shortages and monitor waste regularly and communicate as necessary
  • Taking account of product shelf life, ensure that stock is distributed in accordance with weekly programmed volumes, to achieve balanced stock availability levels.

Sales Administration

Receive and review customer orders and communicate order requirements to relevant parties:

  • Review received orders and source fruit to fulfil orders.
  • Obtain in-store sales data from relavnt sources and track accordingly
  • Update product information sheets on systems and communicate
  • Update prices on Navision when required.
  • Run and produce accurate reports (weekly and KPI), as required, by the team or our customers ensuring accuracy and high attention to detail.

General Administration

  • Answer telephone, being a first point of contact and distribute and/or answer queries accordingly
  • Responsible for the accurate maintenance and updating of PrepWorld information stored and used within the databases.
  • Check, analyse, manipulate and use data as required to fulfil team, customer and grower requests
  • Ad hoc administration and projects as necessary

Qualifications / Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Qualifications

  • UK Driving Licence

Specific Knowledge & Experience

  • Knowledge of Soft Fruit/Fresh Produce desirable.
  • Experience working within the fresh produce industry is highly desirable
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role managing a variety of tasks and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the supply chain process with an understanding of all aspects of product flow, from production through to customer delivery.

Specific Skills

  • Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self organised and an ability to plan workload.
  • Proven Time management skills: Accustomed to working with and meeting time critical deadlines.
  • Good standard of spoken and written English.
  • IT skills – proficient with Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Highly Motivated

Salary £25k to £30k depending on experience
