Job summary:

To implement the companies sales strategy across a geographical area of responsibility through the creation of a customer focused performance environment where Commercial and Public Sector Sales Advisors and Account Managers are effectively managed and developed and where diversity is promoted.

To be accountable for the consistent achievement of Installation and AMR sales revenue across all existing and potential small to medium size businesses, including Builders/Electrical contractors and Consultants, Local Government Councils, Education, Health Sector Hospitals, Primary Care Trusts (PCT), Doctors Surgeries, Dentists, Police, Fire and Ambulance Services.

KPI’s

Achieve key performance indicators in line with predetermined channel objectives.

Order revenue, gross margin, AMR in line with budgets / targets.

Maintain headcount at agreed levels.

Productivity and activity in line with company guidelines.

Performance management in line with company policy.

Effective management of channel demarcation.

Typical decisions

  • Identification of area sales opportunities; who and how to optimise.

  • To be responsible for the day to day management of Sales Advisors and Account Managers and ensure all team members perform to the required standard

    Scope

    Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, selection and induction of Sales Advisors; Identification of talented and capable individuals;

  • Leading, developing and inspiring teams and individuals to achieve targets;

  • Providing a professional and strategic approach to growing the sales channel through the creation of a performance based and innovation oriented environment;

  • Ensure all product lines and services are being sold by Sales Advisors.

  • Ensuring each Sales Advisor receives appropriate encouragement and support; Assessing training needs and co-ordinating training delivery and one to one coaching and mentoring;

  • To actively promote the company brand to customers and Sales Advisors

  • Responsible for proactive monthly planning of workloads to prioritise and deliver against key objectives and tasks.

  • Responsible for producing and submitting to weekly and monthly sales reports and for analysing individual performance trends and take appropriate actions as and when required

  • To maintain working knowledge of local competition and industry requirements and to inform Advisors accordingly.

  • To complete and submit appropriate documentation / follow processes as required by HR and other departments within appropriate timescales. To ensure company processes and policies are adhered to at all time.

  • Ensure reviews are undertaken and reported to the Regional Sales Director on a regular basis and appropriate action is taken to continuously improve the delivery of sales.

  • To work strategically with the Regional Sales Director to ensure sales matrix is constantly aligned with business and customer needs.

  • To provide best solutions in terms of quality and cost.

    Experience

  • At least 3-5 years senior management experience in a Business to Business Sales environment.

  • Demonstrate a successful track record of achievement in senior management.

  • Networking with relevant groups

  • Appropriate experience in a customer facing environment

    Knowledge

  • PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Industry and Standards preferred but not essential

    Education

  • Educated to A level standard (or equivalent)

  • Or, with the appropriate experience, be prepared to undertake A level standard (or equivalent)

    Salery is £50k basic + car with uncapped OTE of £72k + bens
