The Company
Our client is a highly successful market leading privately owned technology / service business with an impressive client base across both the public and private sector. Due to exciting expansion plans ahead both in the UK and globally there is now a requirement for a tenacious Sales Consultant to sell to the companies public sector software offering to join the team in the West Midlands.
The Role
The purpose and remit of the Sales Consultant - Public Sector Software role:-
* Contribute to the achievement of annual targets by undertaking sales, marketing and account management activities into the public sector / local authority marketplace
*Target the social care marketplace including both adult and children social care departments in local authorities
* Generate sales to meet key performance indicators (KPI's)
* Contribute to promotional activity as and when required
* Generate new business sales through regular telephone contact and face-to-face meetings / presentations
* Obtain and qualify new sales leads from company sales events, conferences and exhibitions
* Undertake regular marketing activity / mail-shots
* Prepare and deliver presentations to prospects, consistent with overall company approach
* Work on bids and tenders with the Sales & Marketing Director and the Bid Writer
* Report at monthly sales and marketing team meetings on sales performance targets
The Candidate
The Sales Consultant - Public Sector Software experience and qualifications:-
* Excellent sales / influencing skills
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Client facing experience
* Knowledge of the Homecare monitoring market or social care marketplace or related public sector software market (preferably)
* Good understanding of the Project Management process
* Commercially aware
* Proactive, determined and self motivated
* Flexible to travel
The Reward
In return the Sales Consultant - Public Sector Software will receive a £35k - £45k base salary plus a £60k - £80k uncapped OTE. Our client also provides benefits for this position including company car or car allowance, company pension and healthcare. Due to the global size of our client's company and the exciting expansion plans ahead there are plenty of opportunities for career advancement.
