One of the largest container transport companies in Europe offering transport and related services by land, sea, rail, barge and air are looking for a Sales Co-ordinator to deal with sales enquiries from new and existing customers, providing quotations and logistical information. You will Source and develop good quality sales leads and stimulate new business by telephone sales contacts and via communication with Continental offices.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Develop/co-ordinate new business, looking at project work, in conjunction with Account Managers and Sales Director UK
- Respond to customer requests for rates for door to door and quay to quay enquiries. Calculate and provide rate quotations in a structured manner, ensuring these are entered into the system correctly to the highest level. Take responsibility for all quotations and enquiries within individual routes and markets and ensure details of all follow-ups are logged in the system.
- Input and update all quotations in the computer system in line with requests from the Traffic Department. Checks to be made on the client quote history and customer file to ensure accurate input/dates.
- In conjunction with the Account Managers ensure that forecasted volumes are being met on a weekly basis and take appropriate action.
- Liaise with other Departments to ensure effective customer service for initial bookings.
- Liaise with Route Managers/Door to Door unit Managers as required and support new business and product development.
- Complete the credit limit/payment terms authorisation form in conjunction with the Accounts Department.
- Respond to queries from the Accounts Department relating to invoicing.
- Ensure administration of the quotes and customer information is maintained to the highest level.
