The Company
Our client is a highly successful market leading privately owned technology / service business with an impressive client base across both the public and private sectors. Due to exciting expansion plans ahead both in the UK and globally there is now a requirement for a tenacious Business Development Manager ideally from Local Authority Software sales background to join the team in the West Midlands.
The Role
The purpose and remit of the Business Development Manager / Software Sales / Social Care role:-
Contribute to the achievement of annual targets by undertaking sales, marketing and account management activities.
Core responsibilities include;
* Generate sales to meet key performance indicators (KPI's)
* Contribute to promotional activity as and when required
* Generate new business sales through regular telephone contact and face-to-face meetings/presentations
* Obtain and qualify new sales leads from company sales events, conferences and exhibitions
* Undertake regular marketing activity/mail-shots
* Prepare and deliver presentations to prospects, consistent with overall company approach
* Work on Bids and Tenders with Sales & Marketing Director and Bid Writer
* Report at monthly sale s and marketing team meetings on sales performance V targets
The Candidate
The Business Development Manager / Software Sales / Social Care
Experience and qualifications:-
* Excellent sales / influencing skills
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Experience of liaising with local authority clients ideally within social care
* Client facing
* Commercially aware ideally with a knowledge of the Homecare monitoring market or related public sector software market
* Proactive, determined and self motivated
* Flexible to travel
* Good understanding of the Project Management process
The Reward
In return the Business Development Manager / Software Sales / Social Care will receive a £60k - £80k uncapped OTE. Our client also provides benefits for this position including company car or car allowance, company pension and healthcare.
