Sales Associate

­­­­­­­­­Position Summary:   Main job functions (Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required).

 Highly reactive and proactive; providing an efficient service to all customers with the supply of professional audio equipment.

 Job Location:  Washington, Tyne & Wear.

 Main Duties / Responsibilities:

• Handling inbound sales calls
• Dealing with customer queries relating to both orders and products
• Processing quotations and proformas and convert where necessary, chase and void quotes on a regular basis
• Liaising with Purchasing / Suppliers regarding non standard items for pricing, lead time information for quotations
• Identifying any potential sales opportunities/areas for growth & forwarding to relevant Internal Account Manager / Field Sales
• Keeping Internal Accounts / Field Sales aware of any potential issues with orders
• Monitoring sales order book & ensuring all goods are despatched in a timely manner
• Controlling customers collecting goods
• Dealing with invoice queries and prepare credits where necessary
• Building relationships with customers; maintaining and increasing sales

• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate and good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Willingness to learn new skills and continually develop self

Qualifications / Experience Required:

• Good educational background including Maths & English
• Previous experience in a busy sales office environment
