Our client, a leading Financial Services provider is looking for an experienced Regulatory Specialist who will have a pivotal role, to assist the Compliance Technical Manager and International Compliance Technical Manager, in delivering an effective "2nd line of defence" model.

Role Responsibilities 

  • To ensure that regulatory risks are identified and reported through all activities and preparing internal MI for the Compliance Function as a whole to maintain a regulatory contact log and to submit regulatory returns.
  • Provides support to relevant business divisions to ensure that appropriate remedial action is taken in respect of the breaches identified.
  • Provides interpretation and advice on more complex queries and sign-offs as required, using knowledge of the rules to identify the impact for the business and formulate a response.
  • Gain commitment from the business to address any regulatory shortcomings and raise standards of compliance and to develop and maintain good relationship management with designated areas of the business.

 Skills and Experience Required: 

The ideal candidate will have at least three years experience in a similar role and have a good business understanding and knowledge of the Life industry. This role will suit an individual who has been working within a regulatory risk role who has experience of treating customers fairly, anti-money laundering and other financial crime regulations.

You will have worked within an International capacity and have the ability to interpret legal and regulatory documents.
