Fantastic opportunity to join a successful and thriving company based in Redhill, Surrey. My client is looking to recruit an experienced Risk Analyst. The successful candidate must be able to display relevant analytical experience, together with strong IT skills and the ability to work under pressure. Ideally, you should come from a financial services background with strong underwriting and deal structuring knowledge. You should also have a strong understanding of the identifications and mitigation of any risk issues. Previous experience in the motor finance sector or similar vendor finance environment may be advantageous.
Main duties and responsibilities.
- Underwriting new business proposals.
- Extending stocking lines and limits accordingly.
- Making appropriate lending recommendations to appropriate authority levels.
- Negotiating improved terms and/or structures to proposals to help the company achieve its new business targets.
- Assessment of lending proposals to ensure that all credit risks are identified before making an effective recommendation for appropriate underwriting authority.
- Undertake internal rating assessments.
- Analysis of financial statements including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss and Cashflow statements.
- Analysis and review of any additional relevant non financial information which may affect the proposal.
- Structure and negotiate security arrangements in support of lending proposals.
- Ensure compliance with the conditions of any sanction prior to release of funds.
- Identification & mitigation of any risk issues.

- Knowledge of underwriting and deal structuring.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with an understanding of the key financial ratios.
- Strong all round PC skills.
- Strong understanding of the identifications and mitigation of any risk issues.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
