Our client is a professional services network of independent accounting who provide assurance, tax and advisory services to their clients.
We are searching for a resource planner/Recruitment assistant to join the audit department assisting the Resource Planning Manager with all aspects of resource administration including the staff planning board and training administration.
Main Responsibilities
You will assist the Resource Planning Manager with the management of Retain, amendments and cancellations occurring each day, planner requires updating daily.
Monitor the buy in and sales to other offices making sure you review the retain intranet forum for staffing requests from the other offices and fulfil these where there is capacity or you can make capacity
Monitor holidays and TOIL balances including authorisation and utilisation.
Being on hand at all times to help resolve local issues with staffing and creating confidence that if work is won, it can be staffed.
Stock-takes - allocating resources to do stock-takes when taking place during the week and requesting volunteers when occurring outside of office hours. Stocktake resources are requested for other offices and vice versa.
Book courses with Kaplan etc and enter onto planner.
Know important dates and deadlines (re. registration, subscriptions, exemptions, exam deadlines)
Gain confirmation from Institute and Associations that paperwork is received and let students know.
Book all trainees onto internal courses, liaising with managers when necessary.
Book and keep a record of Audit staff booked onto courses (and cancellations).
Book staff onto all professional external training where necessary.
Ensure accurate holidays are entered onto the Retain.
Ensure all internal and external study entered onto Retain, including new joiners
Assisting Resourcing Manager and HR to ensure everything is in place for newly joining professional staff below Manager level.
Notify relevant parties of the joiners timetable for the first few weeks and provide background information.
cancelling internal and external courses for leavers.
Essential
B in Maths & English or equivalent
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Internet and email
A driving licence is required as the role will require some travel.
