EGi is the award winning internet site for the property industry from the Estates Gazette Group. The data team researches UK-wide commercial building information. This data is critical to our customers, and as such the role requires considerable dedication and drive.
We are now actively seeking a bright graduate to join a team of researchers, working on our award winning website. The role incorporates telephone and desk research as well as a significant amount of data entry.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for gathering high quality and up-to-minute information on commercial buildings in the South West and Wales.
- Build rapport with the market players within this region by regular telephone and face-to-face contact.
- Contact agents or other commercial property players such as landlords, developers at set intervals and at ad-hoc basis to procure building and market information. There will be specified monthly targets for telephone call quantity and quality.
- Data entry and data updates on EGi database converting researched and market supplied data for EGi subscribers' use. There will be specified targets for both quality and the volume of data updates.
- Compiling statistics and trends for EGi Analysis team as well as surveys via phone and email to compile market intelligence.
- Data quality maintenance with specified targets for quantity and quality.
- Building and site visiting to complement desk and telephone research.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent telephone skills with ability to communicate effectively, confidently and professionally.
- Computer literacy and data-entry skills (a basic knowledge of MS Access would be an advantage)
- Ability to work well on own initiative and able to remain focussed in a busy office environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills with ability to meet strict deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy, with a demonstrable ability to summarize information quickly and accurately
- Ability to use variety of telephone and questioning techniques to obtain survey information.
- Interest in the UK Commercial Property market, and a desire to become increasingly knowledgeable about it
- Graduate or eqivalent calibre.
- Driving licence preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience of previous office based telephone research or telephone sales is strongly recommended.
