£33,804 - £50,706 +ExcellentBenefits

Superb Rural Location - Based Wythall, South Birmingham (Just off Junction 3, M42)

Making the switch to Phoenix offers you the exciting prospect of putting your change and release management expertise to the test with one of 'Britain’s Top Employers 2012’ and the UK's largest closed life assurance & pension fund consolidator.

Operating in a market worth an estimated £190 billion, we’re currently in the midst of a ground breaking Actuarial Systems Transformation programme (AST) and undertaking a range of organisational change initiatives that form part and parcel of a major development exercise.

Asa key member of the Release Management team - responsible for providing a framework by which projects will deliver systems change in a controlled manner - your will involve:

  • Contributing to the on-going design, development and implementation of the newly formed change and release management principles and process
  • Balancing the requirements and impacts across all finance systems for both on-going business unit and other project activity
  • Ensuring all system releases are planned, co-ordinated and subsequently communicated, in order to fully support the quarterly valuation cycle
  • Quickly understanding the current change, delivery and release cycle, enabling you to highlight weaknesses, implement corrective measures and continuously improve the process

From the Financial Services industry and with proven release management and configuration expertise gained in a similar setting, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Direct experience of working in a multi-project environment, along with the ability to manage complex projects concurrently
  • Strong technical know-how, including a good understanding of source code management and configuration, coupled with a practical knowledge of ITIL best practice
  • A genuine and practical appreciation of software development lifecycles, whilst any added exposure to actuarial systems/applications and familiarity with SAS would be advantageous

In return, you can look forward to excellent rewards and genuine prospects in a fast developing FTSE listed company, with an exciting future ahead.
