We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, a Registered Nurse Home Manager for a brand new Residential & Nursing home, based in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone. The home is shortly to open and can accomodate up to 65 residents. The successful applicant will be a registered general nurse ideally with previous manager experience or at least at deputy manager level - looking to step up. Duties will be to oversee the highest quality of care and prepare the monthly reports collected for the board of directors and the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority. To liaise with the resident's family, friends, GP, Community Nurses, specialists, pharmacists, local authorities, local councils, voluntary bodies and any other associations related the care of the resident.To guide, support and direct the Deputy/Care Team Managers to ensure that the home and its staff are providing the correct standard of care at all times. To ensure that as much of a stimulating and attractive environment as possible is provided for the residents. To put residents at the heart of all you do. Key Accountabilites are to ensure that a stimulating and caring environment is maintained at all times, ensuing that the resident's health, safety and welfare is of the highest standard. To ensure that recruitment processes are met ensuring that there are sufficient numbers of staff and that they are of the right calibre to meet all aspects of the resident's needs as specified by the registration department. To ensure that care plans are completed, and are stored in the correct place and cover all aspects of care that is required by the resident's. To ensure that the standards and upkeep of all resident's property including furnishings and fittings are maintained and monitored at all times. To take overall responsibility for all staff and all aspects of the resident's wellbeing by ensuring they receive the best care available. To ensure that staff are carrying out their duties as set out in their respective job descriptions.
