£26-30K dependent on experience

Our client based in Wigan is a provider of outstanding residential childcare for children who have suffered trauma, attachment difficulties and or have complex needs. They are committed to delivering a high level of therapeutic care and service throughout.

This home has recently achieved "Outstanding" in all areas.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to join the home's fabulous team of caring individuals; someone who is passionate about caring for children and experienced in Managing a highly rated residential home for children.

The key responsibilities are:

• To ensure the Home auditing and compliance checking is implemented.
• To manage the homes finances and keep accurate records
• To ensure satisfactory staff performance and that supervision and appraisal process are conducted
• Comply with internal procedures, paperwork systems & practice
• To ensure safe working practices are being demonstrated at all times.
• A good understanding of the changing landscape of social care
• To promote professional working partnerships with the wider health & social care community in the locality
• Knowledge of care and risk assessment processes and care management
• Provide operational support for the redesign, development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisations operations to ensure an "outstanding" service.

You must possess:

• NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care, RMA or Management.
• Minimum of 3 years successfully proven Senior Management experience in a Children's Home.
• Excellent understanding of NMS, Ofsted, 5 outcomes & other relevant legislation
• Good understanding of LA needs, Children's Homes working practices and organisation.
• A clean driving licence
