Front Of House Manager ~ 19/21K PA

Role Description :

To manage and ensure the smooth operations within Reception and Nights alongside regular Duty Management shifts.

Reception team of 5 / Night team of 3 (including a Manager)

A very "hands on" position with shift patterns of 7-3.30 & 3.30 -11

This role does require weekend and evening shifts as required

  • To set the agreed standards of operation within the Front Office Department through leadership & communication within the team.
  • To constantly monitor standards of performance to ensure that the standards set down are being both applied and achieved, ensuring a professional, efficient, friendly and courteous behavior at all times.
  • To ensure that the presentation of the Front Office and Night staff is immaculate on all occasions, both uniform and personal presentation.
  • To review rooms allocation on a daily basis
  • To compile an accurate weekly rota taking into consideration patterns of business, ability of staff, holidays, sickness and any other factors affecting the operation.
  • To have a full understanding of all room types, location, views, configurations and hotel facilities.
  • To ensure all in-house guest information is correct and up to date
  • To ensure all guest billing is processed timely and accurately and documentation relating to such is kept in accordance with hotel policy.
  • To allocate rooms in conjunction with the Reservations Department, ensuring the maximum revenue will be yielded.
  • To ensure that the Night Staff are fully trained, liasing with the Night Manager
  • To ensure all complaints are dealt with promptly & efficiently
  • Working with the General Manager to ensure that recruitment is correct for the department
  • Staff induction, training, appraisals & welfare
  • To maintain departmental health, safety & hygiene standards
  • To work within departmental financial budgets

Experience Required :

You will be an existing Front of House Manager / Reception Manager / Deputy working within a similar sized property with your CV demonstrating a stable and balanced career that reflects our clients needs.
