Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager

Residential new build and conversion projects

Up to £50k

Working for a privately owned award winning property company, this role suits an experienced Quantity or Building Surveyor to be involved in residential new builds and conversations up to £10m. You will take ownership and be Project Manager for 2 projects in South England as well as being involved in London projects.

The role involves:

Construction Project Management Duties

  • Assess new development opportunities and run development appraisals.
  • Run build tenders.
  • Assess contractor's proposals.
  • Understand build lifecycle and manage builds accordingly
  • Have a wealth of construction experience.

Contracts Management Duties

  • Compiling and Completing JCT contract documentation.
  • Assessing employer's requirements.
  • Understanding of liquidated damages, retentions, collateral warranty.
  • Estimating.
  • Managing interim payment applications from contractors.
  • Visiting site to check applications and check works.
  • Preparing valuation recommendations for payment.
  • H&S qualification a benefit
  • Review scheme drawings, any pre-construction programmes, and information generally.
  • Coordinate quotes and negotiate cost reductions

Your experience will include:

  • 5 years + experience within the construction industry
  • Qualified Quantity or Building Surveyor
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • New Build and Conversion experience essential
  • Willing to travel to projects outwith London and Surrey.
