Quality Manager

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, my client a leading specialist in their field are currently looking for a Quality Manager to head up their quality and compliance department.

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be a natural leader and man manager with a strong understanding of the Care Quality Commission / Compliance. You will be a multi tasker who does not get stressed when under pressure. It is essential that you have had experience of managing staff and have the ability to make decision when the MD is unavailable.

Duties will include:

• Making sure each department complies with legal duties as laid out by the Care Quality Commission, MHRA and GMC.   

• Monitoring the quality of the service by the following means:
  
  • Monthly staff meeting
  • Monthly management meeting
  • Monthly doctors meeting
  • Departmental/team meetings. 

The purpose of these meetings is as follows:

• To gather/present information from each department that provides an accurate measure of the business  
• To highlight any problems/challenges being faced and reaching an agreeable resolution to them
• To highlight any potential risks across the organisation and putting action plans in place to resolve them.
• To ensure CQC compliance across the organisation
• To recognise accomplishments within each department
• Understand any changes to company policies and procedures and what impact they are going to have on each department
• To bring a consistent and high level of communication between each department
• To highlight any training needs across the organisation
  
  
• To look at the efficacy of each department; to highlight any areas for improvement; this includes looking at staffing levels, individual workload, accountability, systems, hardware and workflows and putt in place action plans to resolve any issues/risks that arise
