This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company at their fabrication and assembly facility in Swansea. My client is a leader in metering systems and has a number of clients in the oil and gas, engineering and energy sectors.

Reporting to the Operations and Quality Managers, the main function of the role is to control the quality of items manufactured by the workshop.

Main Duties

  • To carry out internal manufacturing inspections
  • To carry out stage inspections on sub-contractors
  • Supervision of NDE sub-contractors
  • Liasing with customer inspectors, 3rd party inspection authorities & NOBO
  • Organising calibration of lifting equipment & pressure gauges, calibration of company owned equipment in-house.
  • Liase with external NDE/PWHT suppliers ensuring cost, delivery and quality are maintaned whilst product is off-site.
  • Liase with stores to ensure sufficient stock of weld consumables is maintained.

Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of visual, dimensional, welding, hydrostatic test, leak test & DPI manufacturing inspections.
  • Internal auditing to ISO 9001 requirements
  • Experience of organising calibration of lifting equipment
  • Problem solving & Root Cause Analysis, SPC methods etc.
  • Must have a commitment to working with Oil & Gas
