Job Description
Here at Reed Education we like to recognise strengths and acheivements in specialist schools and settings in the South Yorkshire area. With our recent appointment with the Sheffield City Council in providing supply staff to schools in the Sheffield area we are expecting unprecedented demand for staff on a temporary and ad hoc basis. We want to ensure that quality is still guaranteed for the schools we service everyday and for this we require staff that are committed and available.
We need qualified Teaching staff with proven experience of one or more of the following statemented needs -
PMLD
SLD
ADHD
MLD
Autism and Aspergers
Hearing and Visual Impairments
Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
We need staff that can engage in alternative settings and be able to work with challenging and unpredictable behaviour positively. If you have training in any of the following accredited courses this may also prove to be an advantage -
Team Teach - ideally within the past twelve months
Makaton
ASDAN - Some comprehension of the curriculum may again prove advantageous yet not essential
BSL Level 2 and 3
We will be able to offer work in the local area day to day, short term and potentially long term and will be able to promote opportunities for more permanent roles for successful applicants. All candidates must be able to provide us with a recent updated CV and will be stringently safeguarded and checked prior to any assignment
This will include Enhanced CRB checks, List 99 and referencing
