As QA Manager at Kerry Foods in Spalding you will provide guidance and on-going support to facilitate compliance with quality and regulatory policies, Food Safety Programs (HACCP) procedures and product specifications with primary focus on factory floor activities. You will manage and develop a team consisting of six Quality Compliance Auditors and a Raw Materials Auditor. Working closely with internal customers from Production, Planning and Hygiene, your team will measure compliance against defined corporate and customer policies, Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Standards and product specifications through independent audit. Acting as a champion for food safety across the site, and working in a factory based capacity; you will promote a high standard of awareness and understanding of policies, procedures and product specifications within all shop floor departments.

Key Accountabilities
- Manage and develop the individuals within the Quality Compliance Auditing team, with focus on coaching, feedback, performance management and evaluation
- Maintain product quality and adherence to GMP through management of the Quality Compliance Auditing, delivering agreed product specifications as defined in quality standards and policies
- Ensure that internal Quality, H&S and Environmental (QSHE) audits are carried out to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice
- Manage the resolution and close out of issues and incidents which have been identified as part of the audit process
- Check that standards set within the quality function are adhered to through layered confirmation
- Attend regular product quality and taste panels
- Continuously improve standards set by facilitating and executing 8 Step Practical Problem Solving and other appropriate lean manufacturing methodologies
Previous Experience
- Management or supervisory experience within a Quality Assurance function is essential
- Candidates must have a thorough understanding of Food Safety and Quality systems
- Knowledge of BRC Global standard and customer codes of practice are essential
- Experience of working with retailer own label products is desirable
- Experience within a fast paced Food or Beverage manufacturing environment is essential
- Candidates will demonstrate strong self-discipline and a structured approach to making improvements
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a changing environment is essential
- Knowledge of environmental management standards ISO14001 is desirable
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is desirable
Qualifications
- Candidates will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Candidates will be educated to HND or Degree level in Food Science or related subject
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
