Working with the pharmaceutical industry, clinical laboratories and life science research laboratories, our client offers a wide set of solutions in clean air technology for powder containment. An opportunity has now arisen for a Purchasing Officer to join their team.
If you have engineering purchasing experience, this is your opportunity to further your career with a constantly growing company with a presence in more than 100 countries.
As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for the procurement of all engineering goods, parts and services at the most competitive rates.
Applying purchasing strategies and streamlining processes, you will liaise with the engineering team on the manufacture of special products. You will also ensure that stock is at an optimum level, balancing holding against large order quantities.
Your duties will include:
- Purchasing all goods, utilising existing ERP processes
- Planning cash flow and deliveries in-line with production requirements
- Controlling and monitoring supplier performance
To be considered for this position, you must have previous purchasing experience, gained within an engineering environment.
As a Purchasing Officer, you must have excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are also key.
Whilst a purchasing qualification would be beneficial, it is by no means essential.
