What the role encompasses
You will be lifting many stones to uncover possible deals. Typically these are sourced from developers in distress, property wholesalers, landlords looking to sell, receivers, banks, liquidators, other property agents and more.
The job will include analysing and completing due diligence on possible deals, eliminating those which do not meet company criteria, and working hard to deliver those that do.
Extensive negotiations with the vendors is needed, so your ability to 'do a deal', often in difficult circumstances against time pressure, is critical.
You will work extensively on the phone, but also meet vendors face to face and obviously view properties when necessary. The job can entail travel right across England, although we are careful to balance the invest of time against the likely return.
Experience & attributes required
You must have a strong background in UK residential buy-to-let property. Either already in property acquistion, estate agency, surveying or valuation.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills at a senior level and deep understanding of the residential buy-to-let marketplace.
We expect you to work hard and deliver the deals. Clock watchers need not apply. You will need excellent verbal and written skills and good numeracy to analyse spreadsheets, yields, and likely investment outcomes if investors choose to participate.
Internally you will be working with our sales, marketing and completions team.
Externally you will be working with Agents, Vendors, Solicitors, Mortgage Brokers and more to put the deal to bed and complete your due diligence.
