Project Worker

You will join our team based at North Shields which provides support to ex-offenders aged 18 years +.

You will be responsible for liaising with statutory, voluntary and other key agencies and of course our clients and colleagues to provide effective guidance and support. Undertaking assessments, support planning and other relevant duties in the provision of high quality housing and care, this is an excellent opportunity to have direct involvement in the delivery of quality services that meets the specific needs of individual clients.

You should demonstrate relevant experience of working within a support or care environment dealing with vulnerable people, have sound knowledge of issues facing clients and resources available in the community including housing and benefits. You will possess excellent communication and administration skills as well as commitment and the ability to work under your own initiative. Previous experience of working with the Criminal Justice system would be desirable along with knowledge of this client group.

You will be required to work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends. You must also hold a full current driving licence and have access to a car as travelling will be required.
