Swim Professional Team are looking to recruit a Project Officer in the Sustainable Communities Division at Central Bedfordshire Council. This is a 3 month, ongoing, full time position with a possibility of going permanant

Your job will be to:
• The post holder is responsible for delivering the Project Support function of the Service Development Team, ensuring that this is done to a high standard.
• The Project Officer will also play an active role in co-ordinating projects and helping colleagues within the Service Development Team to deliver key work streams.
• This role touches upon all stages of several projects and the post holder will administer meetings, manage a document control system, maintain logs, collect data, and assist with creating and monitoring, updating and reporting against project plans, as well as starting up and closing down projects.
• The post holder will help to develop and support a culture of project management in the Directorate and will have a role in ensuring that projects within the Directorate meet the Directorate’s quality assurance standard.
• The project officer will assist the Project Manager to develop and monitor an annual programme of key service improvement and service transformation projects for the Directorate.

You must have the following experience:
• Experience in this field, especially around report writing, planning, issue logs
• Budget planning and finance monitoring experience
• Experience of project management processes and delivery
• Experience of developing and managing partnerships in the delivery of projects
• Experience of working with a wide range of individuals at all levels
• Experience of organising and facilitating workshops and events such as staff briefings etc
• Experience of setting up workings groups and project teams.
• Ideally local government experience

You will need the following qualifications:
• A Levels or Equivalent
• Good knowledge of the project management life cycle
• Good knowledge of aiding in the implementation of strategy and process across organizations
