Job Location: Dunfermline, Scotland Closing Date: 17th February 2012 Policy Line: £32,963 Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of the project from concept to delivery. Working with a variety of clients and water related projects, the successful candidate will manage multi discipline teams of project engineers, and coordinate the site delivery with the operations department. S/He will take full responsibility for budget, scope, design and delivery of their portfolio and closely manage all stakeholders and client representatives. Key Responsibilities for the role The main requirements of the role are
  • To deliver all projects safely, on time and within budget
  • Liaise closely with the client and attend regular meetings
  • Provide programme, planning and reporting outputs
  • Verify the design and buildability of each proposal
  • Test commission and hand over at project completion
    To achieve this you will:
  • Ensure that the contract and scope of work are achievable
  • Provide leadership and confidence to the client
  • Plan the work and schedule resources in line with operations
  • Ensure design and technical compliance
  • Lead and inspire both the client and project team
    Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential Technical role requirements The job requires you to demonstrate:
  • Knowledge of water and waste water processes and installations
  • Clear understanding of civil, mechanical, electrical and process projects related to the water/waste water industry
  • Waste water treatment design and installation experience
  • Understanding of SCADA and Telemetry interfaces, ICA and control systems
    Other essential role requirements
  • Contractual and commercial awareness
  • Design build and operate framework contracts
  • Experience with regulatory, utility and public sector organisations
  • Excellent person management
  • Extensive project management experience in a water related industry
