Project manager - New Business Development

Our client is looking for a Project Manager / New Business Development

- Project Management
- Plan, manage and deliver focussed project / research management for "Next Generation" business concepts and ideas.
- Identification of potential long term strategic "next generation" opportunities
markets including but not limited to rail, aero and construction industries.
- Commercial negotiation - RFQ pricing development
- Support cross functional process optimisation, in conjunction with other account management teams to identify and implement logistics service improvements across the entire business
- Assist with the development of improved processes and cost reduction activities
- Provide sales and revenue development support to Sales Mangers / Sales teams
  - Budget control for new business development
- Financial reporting
- Presenting to potential new customers and promoting activities at corporate and networking events
- Creation and updating of sales and marketing materials
- Commercial Due Diligence
- Operational Due Diligence
- Drive engagement through a foundation of team work by ensuring that all staff are engaged through appropriate dialogue, action planning and follow through.

3. Candidate profile

Ideally, candidates should have the following attributes:

- Relevant Undergraduate Degree Qualified (desired)
- 2-3 years previous New Business Development Management
- Formal Project Management Training or Demonstrable Project Management Experience- (desired)
- Experience of supporting/managing the tender process (desired)
- Highly skilled in MS Office packages
- Proven experience in problem solving
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong organisation skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Full UK driving license (essential)
