Our client provides automated and manual assembly solutions to various manufacturing sectors predominately within the Automotive and Aerospace arena. They have earned a great reputation for providing leading OEM’s and 1st tier manufacturers with localised support coupled with global sourcing capabilities.
Job Description
Due to a growth in their Electronic controls division, they now have a brand new position for someone to take responsibility to accurately forecast the cost element of electronic control projects.
The role will involve:
• Creating packages using process documentation, written specifications and design layouts.
• Gain a full and comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and specifications, clarifying and resolving area’s of concern
• Develop comprehensive and factual cost and resource analysis
• Liaise with external suppliers for pricing data
Person Specification
Skills and experience required
• BIW (Body Welding), PWT, Aerospace and diverse market manufacturing methods and processes
• Detail manufacturing / Controls Architecture methods and costing
• Supplier base knowledge
• Understanding of project costs - design, management, installation etc
• Good general level of Computer Literacy
• Knowledge and experience of new technologies and methods for manufacture and assembly systems
• Candidates will also need to be educated to a HNC/HND standard in Engineering
• Or have a time served Engineering background/apprenticeship
• Knowledge of Electrical control systems and the automotive/Aerospace industry would be ideal.
• Candidates must also be prepared to travel to Europe on occasions
• Have exceptional communication and rapport building skills
• Be a self starter and be to work with little supervision
