Our client is one of the largest specialist suppliers of warm water underfloor heating systems to the UK domestic market, delivering fully designed underfloor systems to housebuilders and installers nationwide.

They currently have an urgent requirement for a Project Engineer to fulfil system design services which meet company and customer specifications.  Reporting to the Commercial Fulfilment Manager key responsibilities will include:

• Fulfil system mechanical and electrical designs for the company’s heating and hot water systems
• Manage projects throughout the fulfilment process and maintain contact with customer
• Advise Designers on appropriate design solutions
• Review drawings , documentation, document control and commissioning data prior to shipment
• Check BOM and Sales Orders, feed-back any design issues to Designers and Senior Project Engineer
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of the company’s systems
• Ensure that customer service is maintained to the highest standard at all times

The following technical skills and knowledge are essential:

• Demonstrate a high level understanding of mechanical / electrical engineering and controls philosophy for the design and effective operation of heating and hot water systems
• Highly IT proficient
• Detailed knowledge of latest legislation and regulations applicable to the construction industry
• Proven interest in renewable energy including heat pumps and solar hot water systems
• Highly numerate and literate
• Excellent levels of customer service via the telephone
• Able to prioritise own workload

The following technical skills and knowledge is desirable:

• Higher level qualifications i.e. Higher National Diploma
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Design, installation or commissioning experience with ground and air source heat pumps
• Industry knowledge of plumbing and heating and/or electrical systems
• Able to work on your own initiative without supervision

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 40 hours a week.

Salary £28k per annum, 23 days holiday plus banks increasing with service.
