Our client is an automotive component manufacturer of Body-in-White (BIW) components and sunroof assemblies.
The main objective of the role will be to Ensure smooth transition from Project stage to Mass Production
Job Description
Day to day duties will involve:
Support project team
Daily production support in Weld – Quality & Efficiency
Involvement in continuous improvement activities
Work proactively with QA to resolve quality issues that customer QA may identify
Carry out necessary work and/or projects in line with business need and activities such as;
o Capability and Capacity Studies;
o OEE analysis and improvements;
o APQP / SPC;
o Standard Work Combination Tables;
o Lean manufacturing and VA/VE;
o Kaizen & Continuous Improvement;
• Activity planning, monitoring and reporting to achieve project targets.
• Understanding of project cost control.
• Work proactively to resolve any identified issues
If you feel you meet the criteria
Person Specification
• Previous experience in a BIW Weld Manufacturing environment is essential.
• Working knowledge of CATIA is essential.
• Capable of creating and documenting Situation and Decision Analysis reports.
• Self-motivated with the willingness and ability to make decisions and implement change.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization from general associate to senior manager.
• You should be adaptable, flexible and possess the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines and production targets.
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Determination and drive to ensure Quality is maintained in all aspects of role.
