Project Engineer/ Construction Supervisor - Suffolk

Hours: 40 Hour week

Security Clearance: Current valid security clearance would be a distinct advantage

Critical Experience:
• Experience of working within the RCA 

• Experience of supervising and setting contractors/sub contractors work in their roles

• M&P experience within multi-discipline project

• Suitable industry experience of testing and commissioning activities

• Co-ordination of engineering contractors working to industry standards and to a certified quality management system

• Possess good communication skills and be able to conduct meetings and reviews with Client personnel with minimal supervision

• Experience of development and review of construction risk assessments

• Thorough knowledge of planning and work-hour control

• Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety Legislation, including, but not limited to, CDM Regulations and Health and Safety at Work Act

• Knowledge of internal and external standards and procedures specifically those applicable to power station working.

• Experience of preparation of life time record packs and handover documentation.

Description of Duties:
• Carry out activities that ensure the project complies with the Work Management Process• Arrange and/or conduct safety walkdowns

• Assist in the development of Work Order Cards and review of contractors construction documentation• Perform the duties of Field Supervisor

• Conduct Quality Spot Checks

• Perform testing & commissioning activities• Utilise CDMS in support of project activities

• Be aware of the technical and commercial obligations of the contract, and ensure that they are understood and implemented by the staff in his/her area of responsibility

• Exercise all reasonable skill and judgement in the application of Company technical, quality, safety, commercial and legal policies in his/her area of responsibility

• Understand the implications of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent regulations as they affect the responsibilities of individuals, subcontractors 

• Fully comprehend the concept of 'Risk Assessment’

• Comply with Client procedures as appropriate

• Apply internal and external standards and procedures to project activities

• Carry out activities that ensure the project complies with the Client Work Management Processes

• Utilise the Client Document Management System as appropriate in support of project
