An established manufacturer of precision automotive components is seeking an additional Project Engineer to deliver a significant new product development programme.
Project Engineer - Automotive
Salary: £30000 - £35000
Location: Leicester ( commutable from Nuneaton, Leicester, Coventry, Market Harborough, Rugby, Coalville areas )
The Role
o To support the introduction of new projects on time and within budget constraints
o To work within the Maintenance / Production Engineering team identifying and delivering improvements to existing facilities and production processes
o To assist with the introduction of new facilities, processes and projects.
o To assist with planned (TPM) and reactive maintenance activities and projects
o To define and deliver 'best practice' solutions for maintaining plant and equipment.
o To enhance and develop the organisations' existing Engineering structure
The Person
Applications are sought from Automotive Project Engineers who meet the following criteria
o Proven client liason experience within the automotive industry
o Thorough understanding of PLC programming and fault diagnostics.
o Knowledge of welding techniques and -tube manipulation
o Demonstrable practical experience of process automation
o Knowledge of automotive project planning
o Knowledge of BIW Assembly
o Knowledge of tooling, fixtures and checking equipment
o Ability to understand Engineering Drawings and 3D Geometric Tolerancing.
