Production Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to work for one of our electrical manufacturing clients based in Wallsend.

The role involves managing a team 30 production operatives who are assembling electrical components and products.

Our client is looking for a candidate who has previous experience in managing a large team of production operatives. They will be responsible for liaising with other departments to ensure all products are shipped on time.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for setting team KPIs and completing performance reviews with existing staff.

This role is a permanent position with an immediate start for the right candidate. My client is offering a competitive salary of 20 - 23K with potential for bonus also.

The key responsibilities of the role are;

• Be responsible for a team of 30 Production Operatives, and a Team Leader
• Coach, mentor and lead the team to ensure high productivity
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policy and  procedures
• Quality checking and auditing throughout production process
• Plan and monitor weekly and monthly production targets
• Work closely with the Planning team to ensure smooth operations and surplus supplies to a minimum
• Adhere to Company values and objectives, and promote these throughout the team
• Hold daily production meetings and arrange weekly / monthly targets
• Work towards personal KPI's as well as setting & monitoring individual and team KPI's
• Work closely with Dispatch division to achieve maximum efficiency in both areas
• Report to Head of Operations and implement improvement opportunities
• Resolve any day to day production issues
• Assist HR with regards to recruiting additional team members
• Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner
