In order to support their continuing growth, a Production Supervisor is now required to join this leading partner to the international automobile industry which delivers mechatronic systems and electric drives to more than 50 automotive manufacturers as well as suppliers. They are a truly global company with locations in 23 countries on all major automotive markets worldwide.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning and organising production capacity (personnel and equipment) in order to meet customer programmed requirements. You will monitor and control production key performance indicators including cost, process, quality, delivery, housekeeping and absence in accordance with company requirements. You will also plan and manage budget in accordance to SIV; contribute to and support the introduction of new products, facilities, machinery and process to the area, as well as support and drive continuous improvement activities in order to optimise equipment and processes. You will work with manufacturing teams and other areas of the plant to ensure supply to customer of good quality products, on time, in correct quantity and in problem resolution. You will also be responsible for recruiting, training and developing the production operatives required, both in number and quality, to meet present and future needs. You will have direct reports and be responsible for building effective teams, developing motivation and commitment, maintaining morale and actioning all disciplinary issues. You will ensure that production and company information is communicated effectively to the team and ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the company including Health and Safety and Environmental and be pro-active in the development of a safe working environment. You will also deputise for other shift managers and their production areas as required.

The successful candidate should have a good engineering degree (preferably in manufacturing/production) combined with a strong quality or production engineering background. Experience in tier 1 automotive within a JIT or JIS supply chain is also required. They are looking for a versatile, pragmatic, performance driven candidate who has preferably worked in a growth environment introducing new products/processes to an organisation.
