With their highly imle pressive modern manufacturing facilities and exceptional growth over the past decade, its perhaps not surprising that our client has developed into theUKandEuropesnumber one producer in their sector. In order to sustain this market leading presence and the momentum of the business, they now require some key professional managers who will act as ‘catalysts of change’ and ‘raise the bar’ in the sites performance.

Playing a pivotal role in the future development of standards, goal setting and staff development these positions will require first class leadership and communication skills alongside the ability to influence and gain ‘buy in’ to new initiatives. Working within a busy, fast moving, high volume and complex environment, it would be advantageous if candidates were familiar with highly automated plant and multiple changeover activity and have some practical equipment knowledge or engineering skills.

Of paramount importance is the goal setting and monitoring of KPIs and giving staff the tools, training and skills to maximise efficiencies and deliver improvement in all areas. Measuring OEE will also be an integral part of these roles as well as implementing best practice standards that will form the template of developing a continuous improvement culture. Candidates should therefore be experienced in successfully driving ‘change’ programmes and employing lean manufacturing techniques that are practical, easily understood and have made a significant difference to both costs and output targets.

Challenging your team on a daily basis will require an enthusiastic and winning attitude,  encouraging staff to come out of their comfort zone and take real ownership of their production area. It is therefore critical that you have the prerequisite ‘can do’ attitude and that you can engender a positive and vibrant atmosphere as well as professionally manage the introduction of  more efficient working methods and procedures.

Of degree calibre you will have the tenacity and experience of nurturing and guiding your  team(s) through a lean/change  journey and currently be seeking a new challenge that will not only build upon your experience but also offer future development and progression. These are high visibility roles offering  a great platform to showcase your  strategic and hands on managerial change expertise in close proximity to the senior management team.

In return for your commitment to creating a well organised and results focused team that takes a pride in its achievements, you will be rewarded with not only an attractive remuneration and benefits package, but also a great springboard to propel your career forward with a major player within the Food and Drinks market. Relocation to the South West area is also available to candidates wishing to move to a location that can offer a nice balance of easy access to major urban centres as well as enjoying the delights of rural and coastal lifestyle pursuits.
