Production Manager

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of TEMP-TEAM who are operating as an employment business.

Our client is currently looking for a Production Manager to work in a busy Foundry.

You will be responsible for the Occupational Health and Safety of people within the area by ensuring that safe and healthy practices are followed and that all aspects of company, site and legal occupational Health and Safety requirements are met whilst ensuring good housekeeping (5s) is maintained across the department.

Managing cell activity to ensure that production performance is achieved in accordance with KPI targets of HSE, productivity, yield, quality, service and cost, driving continuous improvement through increased operator involvement.

You will ensure product quality is improved through liaison with the Quality department/Casting Engineer and that production is carried out in accordance with SOP’s / PM in place while identifying/agreeing internal operator training requirements as appropriate and maintaining operator training matrices

Other duties include:

• Liaising with Maintenance department/Chargehand/Operators to provide available production equipment to support the plan and increase the OEE within the department
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with other Production Managers and ensuring procedures are in place which deliver consistent standards across all departments
• Managing lateness, absenteeism and discipline within company guidelines
